That's My Boy

Hanging out with Henry sure is fun! He loves those "moodees" we make for breakfast a few days each week, and he loves to eat his chicken the way his dada does. This morning he grabbed his letters and started placing them on the refrigerator. I grabbed the camera when I figured out what he was up to!

Great job, Henry!

2 years 4 months

"Henry, are you a cheese head?"

"No...Mama cheese head."

It seems like Henry has grown in leaps and bounds this past month.

Time to clean out that sand table.

Henry has a wonderful imagination. He pretends to be a kitten that crawls around and meows. He stops crawling so I scratch his head and then continues on his way.
He pretends to make meals for us when we are outside playing. He'll fill his buckets full of dirt, carry them to me and say "eat, mama, eat". We both sit and pretend to eat. He's also likes making green french fries and noodles with his Playdough.
He pretends to catch fish by tossing his blanket over the baby gate while still holding onto one end. He catches a fish and tells me its color. Henry gallops like the horse, swings like the monkey, flies like the birds, and crawls like the cat.

Henry loves to eat letter cookies from Trader Joe's. He finds the Ms and gives them to me for Mama and finds the Ds and gives them to Dada. Henry likes to surprise us. He will run from a room and wait for me to come find him. When I see him standing somewhere new he gets the biggest grin and yells "prise". Or he'll toss his blanket over his head and sit still while we ask if anyone has seen Henry. He'll stay still for over a minute! Peek a book, guess who, and catch me are other games that he likes to play.

He likes to take turns when we read books that have moving parts. He'll say "Hen tur" or "mama tur".

When Henry takes his nap he'll often fall asleep completely covered by his blankets. The other day I went in to lift the blanket and give him some air. I moved his pillow under his head and in his sweet sleepy voice, he said "tan ta" (thank you). Henry does have very good manners and often says please, thank you, and "scuse" me throughout the day.

He weighs 28 pounds and says "rock roll, baby" instead of just "rock roll".

We love you, Henry!

Whenever Henry is watching the beginning of Curious George he always breaks into a dance. HE usually says "Mama...Dance" or "Dada...Dance"... so we all do! Tonight during the dance he made a connection between the music and his keyboard...I love to watch the wheels turn. He's a good piano player, too! Henry amazes us everyday!

Happy Easter!

Henry woke up this morning, walked in the kitchen and found an egg. "Mama...egg!" were his exact words. Followed by: "egg...nother egg...".

Some were a little challenging to open.

Spring Break

Henry's spring break started today! His teacher, Ms. Sue, asked me to come to school today to take some photos of the kiddos to post for open house night! There was an egg hunt and a party with delicious, healthy goodies.

You have to wonder what they were talking about!

It started as a small cough...then the teachers started singing some songs. Kate clearly had enough!
