Where has the time gone? You sure keep us busy and running around.
Lately you have been:
~pretending to make pancakes,
~selling ice cream (for money) out of your fire truck,
~negotiating (one more show, then you take your index finger and thumb and show me that you only mean a little show),
~dancing,
~playing hopscotch your own way
~singing the abc song and humming a few others that we do not know,
~surprising us by finishing the lines in the books we read. Your favorite books are Freight Train and Chicka, Chicka, Boom, Boom. You love to reenact the scene when all the letters fall out of the coconut tree with your bathtub letters.
~telling us EXACTLY how to play with the trains,
~having running races in the house and you pretend you are out of breath to add to the drama.
~busy playing with your friends
~saying "i know, i know" when I ask you a question,
~answering questions with "i do, i do"
~snuggling in on the couch after a long day of playing.

It has also been a challenging time when it comes to going to sleep. You've been protesting by taking off your pjs, hitting us when we tell you it's time to go to bed, and pulling out your gate either before you go to bed or in the middle of the night. We got a new gate that we drilled into the wall...you seem to understand that it won't come out because you no longer try to pull on it. We also got a new moon and star nightlight for your wall that you picked out.
You are definitely 2 1/2 because you make the tantrum part of every day.
You love salmon, french fries, chicken, ice cream, and eggs, smoothies, pancakes, and cupcakes. You tell me that anything sweet tastes like a fruit snack. You've started eating peanut butter and crackers, too. Oh...and you love to put fresh blueberries in your yogurt.
We love everything about you, Henry! You are a little spark plug! Happy 2 1/2 Bud!
