Our first day out

It was our first day out and about the town. We were a little nervous with the first street crossing experience but by the end of the day, I'd say that we were quite good at it. It is easier to do in a group. We hooked up with the Syns and Caputos at Highlands Coffee then set off to do a little shopping. We will all be heading out together to pick up our babies in a few days. There is a shop called Nagu in the Old Quarter that sells custom embroidered bears so we ordered one for Henry with his name and province embroidered on its feet. Very cute!

Across the street we had dinner with Kit and Genise (the Syns) at a restaurant called Mediterraneo that had yummy Italian food. (Thanks for the recommendation, Jenna!) The Syns live in Sacramento so it will be easy for us to get Henry and their Ben together once a year for some reunion time. The boys are just one month apart in age.

After dinner it was off to the Water Puppet show. We heard it was a "must see" event while we were here but to tell you the truth, I wouldn't put it on my top 10 list. The music was nice and the technique used to get the puppets to dance around was cool, but neither of us have any idea what the show was about.

Off to bed. We have an early day tomorrow!

Wow! You're there! How wild to see your pics since we were just there. We probably passed each other over the North Pole! Will be checking for updates on your meeting with Henry. Tell Genise I said hello!

Hummm... I sure pray that the 16th will be another blessing!

You guys missed this from the Saturday leadership training, but the short version is for those whose valley is especially deep and long, a corresponding mountain top, including where God may want to lead you, will most likely follow. God reminded me of this verse while I was reading your blog...

Jesus said, “For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.” (Luke 12:48)

A song, "Blessed to be a blessing"

Chorus
Blessed to be a blessing
Blessed to live your love
Blessed to share with others every blessing from above
Blessed to walk in mercy
Blessed to light the way
Oh, Blessed to be a blessing every day

Verse 1
Oh my Jesus, you have blessed me
You died for me to take my sin away
Now you live your life in me
And the love received is love I give away

Verse 2
Oh my Jesus, make me a blessing
In my work and play, in everything I do
Oh let your blessing flow through me
That in seeing me, may others see you
